Awesome fun in following Nathan to Sweden for a huge K1 Tournament.
The best thing about making a show on your own is the creative freedom.... And the ability to capture all kinds of stories.... Sitting down with Nathan to film our first chat sparked a series of events which looking back is pretty funny.... First off Nathan is just inspiring to be around... He's a 6 time World Muay Thai champion..... One of the most brutal sports on the planet... Punches... Elbows... Knees... It's pretty much anything goes and a big test for the bravest of the brave.... A sport Nathan has dominated his whole career..Yet he's a simple guy... Very humble and you wouldn't even know he likes fighting if you sat down to have a chat... We've been mates for a few years now... Swapping laughs over coffees and I'd regularly get him on the radio when he had fights and events coming up... On this day we sat down at our favourite cafe on the Gold Coast to get the story in how the whole "Fighting" career came to be...

So from this chat.... I think it was a day or two later... Nathan spoke to his two sponsors at the time in Irish boys Steo and James.... In the interview above you heard him mention his big fight coming up in Sweden.... Nathan asked the boys if they'd sponsor me going over to film?.... Covering the costs for me to be there to capture the action and put it on TheWebShow... A few days later I'm in Sydney when I get the call from Nath saying it's on.... A day later I'm at FlightCentre in Kings Cross booking tickets and then a few days after that I'm flying the 24 hours over to Stockholm to film Nathan doing his thing.... The best thing about it all is Nathan won the Tournanment against the best fighters in Europe...

My first time to Stockholm and it's such an awesome city... We walked around and filmed all kinds of stuff... If you've ever wanted to see what goes on behind the scenes at a huge fighting tournament then watching the videos in order captures the vibe...
About a month later Nathan had a huge fight on the Gold Coast.... Home town... Big crowd and once again I was there with the handicam capturing everything for TheWebShow.... The guy Nathan was fighting was super dangerous.... A smaller opponent who'd recently been fighting heavyweights in tournaments around the world.... And beating them... The atmosphere was electric... 4000 Gold Coasters rising to their feet to cheer on the home town champion.... Hope you enjoy the clip below. |

| I've shot about a dozen or so clips featuring Nathan since our first encounter.... Each one in some way has been motivating or inspiring.... Especially the ones watching him train... The latest clip which I'm super excited about sharing here is a challenge to Europes number one fighter.... A guy named Tyrone Spong.... Tyrone is the Carnage of the East... A super talented fighter with all the weapons and in my opinion the only real challenge to Nathan's dominance.... If this fight took place it'd be a sensation... A lot of good judges are picking Tyrone to win but my money would be on Nathan to end things with an elbow. |
