Spending the day filming behind the scenes on a Porn shoot.
Ahhh this is a funny story how it all came about.... Filming a behind the scenes look at a Porn Film being made in the Hollywood Hills.... My background is in radio... So I was always organizing interviews and chasing up all kinds of opportunities... Sexpo became a big event in Sydney and I was at Triple M at the time and ended up doing some reports and interviewing some of the top Porn Stars... One of the ladies I met briefly was Joy, a publicist from Wicked Pictures in LA.... She helped me out with some contacts and a year or so later sent me some t-shirts and DVD's.... She also put me on the Wicked Pictures Mailing list... So each month I'd get an email telling me about the latest movie and Industry news... After a few years I tried to get myself off the mailing list... I tried 3 times I think... But each month I'd keep getting emails..Flash to 2004 and I've booked my tickets for a trip away filming.... The morning before I left I checked email and there's another update from Wicked Pictures.... I opened it upand thought I'd reply.... But instead of asking to once again be taken off the list.... I wrote back to a guy called Daniel and told him I'd be in LA shortly and I'd love to film something forTheWebShow....It was the last email I sent before jumping on a train to the airport...Arriving in LA I checked my email and there it was.... The invitation from Daniel to film some interviews with the stars.... And that lucky for me.. The day I could shoot was coinciding with Wicked Pictures first day back filming... (The Industry was shut down for 3 months after an Aids scare)... Daniel put his number in the email and so I gave him a call to lock in the date etc.... I was staying with Vinny in West Hollywood and so I asked if he wanted to come?....He was keen... Definitely something a little different...
So the day came.... Vinny and I jumped in the car and made our way to Los Feliz.... About a 20 minute drive from West Hollywood.... And like pretty much everything with TheWebShow... What you'll see in the clips is pretty much what happened.... In clip one we meet the lovely Jessica Drake..

So the adventure was well and truly underway.... I should say here that part of the comedy was that Daniel didn't know I'd be shooting with a camera.... He thought it was audioonly for my radio show... So he wasn't sure how everyone would react to me filming.... Especially Brad Armstrong the Director.... But there was no dramas at all.... Everyone was super cool... Kind of weird being there though... I mean I've seen way more Porn films than I probably should have... I even knew the actors stage names with blew Vinny away... The funniest thing for me was sitting down to film a chat with Industry legend Mike Horner.... I remember the very first porn film I ever saw... He was in it.... So an interesting story coming full circle.... Hope you enjoy part two :)

It was definitely fun meeting all the cast and crew.... Vinny was having a fun day.... In the clip below we wrap up the adventure and have a chat with former star and now top Director in Brad Armstrong... I've gotta say here.... Being on set for the day... And seeing all the goings on... Kind of took away any excitement that usually builds when watching
this kind of stuff.... It was more funny in ways.. But they work hard... They've got millions of fans for reasons I guess... And overall it was a fun adventure and a big thanks to everyone at Wicked Pictures for making it possible... |
