Day 45 in Dublin - Thank you James

Well it's been quite the adventure making my way to Dublin to meet up with James... He's the sole reason why this trip's happening in the first place.. We'd been in talks for a while now about him being involved with TheWebShow.... And unlike everyone else in the corporate world who takes the "What's in it for them" angle... James believes in the show and why I'm making it and just backed fullstop... So I can't say enough about the guy... I'd always planned on including Dublin in the trip and to say thanks in person and part of a clip... So here we are... Nearly 50 days after setting off..

Day 47 in Amsterdam - Cyber Salon

Ahhh man if only it was easy to show the story behind the story... I was basically in the hotel all day.. Editing and uploading footage.. The only real pain in making a show all on your own... But I got it done just as James and Dan found this awesome hair salon near the hotel... James got talking to the girls there and they agreed to film a chat for the show.. I just wish I was in the right frame of mind... For filming at least... :)
But here's what happened.

 

Day 47 in Amsterdam - Greenhouse Cafe

So we left the girls at the hair salon... Grabbed some dinner then jumped in a cab and made our way over to the Greenhouse cafe to meet up with Joachim... He gave us the guided tour and agreed to film a chat for TheWebShow... A very cool guy and it was a fun night hanging out :)

 

Day 47 in Amsterdam - Sex Museum

So after leaving the cafe we made our way back to the hotel... James was wrecked so he stayed in... But Dan and I thought we'd go for one last wander around... We checked out the Sex Musuem which was kind of boring apart from finding some original sketches from John Lennon... That rocked... We then ran into a street busker and I filmed one of his songs and a chat for TheWebShow.

 

Day 48 in Amsterdam - The Scooter Tour - Part 1

The most random things happen when I'm off making the show... Always blows me away... Like the night before meeting Joachim and filming at the Greenhouse cafe... I asked him if he was busy the next morning as I'd love a quick tour of the city with a local... He was up for the adventure and so we agreed to meet up at 10am for a ride around on his scooter... It was such a fun morning blasting around the streets of Amsterdam with Joachim as he pointed out all the sights... We stopped into the original Greenhouse cafe for a quick coffee... And yes... Just a coffee :) Before scooting off to continue the tour.

And so here's the last interview shot in Amsterdam... It was a full on trip in so many ways.... One of the best places I've been to and can't wait to come back.. We'd just finished talking with the Scientologist when we rounded a corner and found this lady handing out "Anti-smoking" pamphlets... I asked her if we could film a chat for TheWebShow and this is what happened :)

What I love most about making a random show about anything is more often than not something random will happen... Like this clip for instance... I'd just got back from filming with Joachim... We'd packed our bags and checked out of the hotel and we had an hour or so to kill so we went for a walk... About 2 mins into the walk we stumbled onto a protest of some sort... Here's what happened :)
